Devon & Cornwall

Plymouth nestles at the mouth of the river Tamar, on the border of Devon and Cornwall. Famous for its maritime heritage it has much to offer the visitor, with excellent watersports facilities and delightful countryside.

Plymouth and the surrounding area is a favourite with artists and art lovers, with many intriguing galleries in the area.

The Plymouth coast-line is some of the most interesting in the country from long stretches of golden sands to sheer impregnable cliffs.

The English Riviera resort of Torquay is a must in Devon, as is a visit to Exeter, and a journey over the wilds of Exmoor to Bideford and Barnstaple.

As for Cornwall, beautiful beaches, one city and and many small seaside villages abound, Truro, Bude, St Austell, Newquay, Falmouth and Penzance - and of course if you’ve been to John O’Groats in Scotland, the northern extremity of Britain, you must visit Land’s End which is the southern-most.

Devon and Cornwall have many attractions; excellent restaurants and cafe's with an abundance of good food and a wide variety of interesting shops, and and both day and nightime entertainment.
