Home Counties

London capital city, business, cultural and historical heart of England. A 'not to be missed' for all who live in Britain, and come each year visit and to tour Britain.

It has much to offer the visitor, as Samuel Johnson wrote...

"When a man is tired of London, he is tired of life;for there is in London all that life can afford".

The Home Counties which surround London all have their own unique identities and character whilst also offering fast rail and road links into London. Spectacular countryside Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty for walking and cycling.

The Surrey Hills and the Chilterns spread across Buckinghamshire, whilst Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire are also in the Home Counties with fantastic sports, leisure and outdoor activities which are widely available in the country parks and green spaces of the Garden Cities and New Towns, and within Hertfordshire's great green corridor, the Lee Valley Park which pushes down into London and the newly built Olympic Park venue of the 2012 Games.

There are so many places to visit amongst them:

Buckinghamshire - Milton Keynes and Marlow
Berkshire - Windsor and Cliveden
Bedfordshire - Biggleswade and Dunstable
Hertfordshire - Hatfielfd, Letchworth and Welwyn
Essex - Clacton on Sea, Walton-on-the-Naze and Frinton
Surrey - Dorking, Haslemere and Guildford

London and the Home Counties have many attractions; excellent restaurants and cafe's with an abundance of good food and a variety of interesting shops plus plenty of entertainment and a vibrant nightlife in the principle towns and cities.
